I also want to acknowledge the review from 5 months ago in regards to the number of dogs in each kennel I have known Craig and Elizabeth for 10+years they allow 2 dogs in each kennel with one house. This allows for socialization and them staying in one home together helps keep them warm in the winter months. The only pins that hold more than 2 dogs are puppy pins. That is so they can stay warm and happy! Puppies are like kids, they need other puppies to play with.
Piss poor kennels. Unfriendly people. Got a pup from them and took him back to them for training. They give you the last month free but all three months should be free. I think they just have too many dogs to spend any time with any of them. Got my dog back and he wouldnt come when called, he knew what whoa meant but wouldnt hold it, wouldnt hold point, rushed birds. Extremely disappointed. Unfortunately i am going to have to go elsewhere for a couple months to get him steady and basically get all the training that i already paid muddy creek for once. Got a good pup but should have had him trained elsewhere. Do not let these people hold your dog in their filthy kennels for 3 months training because they will rob you blind. Some of the kennels have 4 or 5 dogs together with only 1 house if that gives you any clue.
These reviews are absolutely untrue. Disgruntled customers will always exist. Muddy Creek has been raising and training bird dogs since the 80's and have never sold a dog with health issues. Any issues a customer has after the dog leaves here is their issue. All performance animals require constant handling to stay in working condition. If you take your dog out once a year don't expect it to be a show stopper.
Like any other kennel they have inspectors come through on a regular bases to look at the kennels and make sure they are safe and clean. I apologize if you had a bad experience in business unfortunately that can happen. But if you were to contact Craig Burns owner of the kennel I have never known him not to try to keep a customer happy. There Family run kennel's goal is to build lasting relationships with there customers and lead to repeat business. They have had people come back to there kennel over and over due to there customer service.
